It Takes A Village Part 5: Your Smile Matters

Last year, 3-Masayahin and I launched our book project entitled, Kayang-Kaya Kong Abutin ang 100 %! And for those of you who are wondering… Yes! We finished our book together! It was a long yet fun process to map out our journey throughout the year. Towards the end, I no longer had to write sentences for them. A lot of them eagerly took on the task to pick pictures and write something. Grammar and mechanics may not have been perfect but what’s important is that they wrote their own story. They could now tell the world something about themselves.

welcome durian jpeg

This year, I’ll be teaching Grade 3-Durian! Help me welcome my new kids by sending a photo with a simple back-to-school message for them! Your words of encouragement will go a looooong way. What I’ve learned from the previous year is that these kids need to belong to a community. Every kid needs a champion. So please join me in welcoming 3-Durian this school year. Our story is your story – let’s make it a great one!
